I had written on this post, but for some reason nothing uploaded with it, so here I am again. This was for valentine's day this past year and I had the day off. These pants were actually indeed of loose when I first got them, I was in my super skinny days then and knew I was going to eventually gain a healthy weight back, now they actually fit a little snug, but still perfect.
Peplum was a gift, wine colored skinny pants are from Cotton on and sandals from Rainbow.
Earrings from Valsan, necklace from Miss A, new tennis bracelet from my husband he got from the antique show at the fair expo, since he works there.
I went to get a gel manicure since I had a Groupon that expired this day, I had been so busy working, I hadn't had a a chance.
Eyeshadow was Huda Beauty obsessions palette in mauve and lips were Tarte Cosmetics Tartiest quick dry matte lip paint in cheerleader.

It was new years eve and it took me three dresses to try on in my closet to finally find what I was going to wear. Both my husband and I worked this day at Publix, so it was a long and hard day, which we barely made into the night. I had just bought some goodies at Sephora and this would be the perfect night to try many of them.
Dress from Ross, belted bow from Rainbow, booties from Sears, earrings from Miss A and bracelet from Burlington Coat Factory.
My husband and I arriving at the in laws place.

i created this look with the Huda Beauty obsessions palette in smokey, Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pomade in taupe for the brows and Tarte Cosmetics tartiest lip paint in bounce.

My nexgen Christmas nails that lasted well into the new year.
It was late, lighting wasn't too great, but we still wanted to take a celebratory picture with one of the new years snapchat filters just before heading home to crash.

It was Thanksgiving this past year and I of courser wanted to dress up. We ended up not doing anything or going anywhere, since my in-laws were out of town. I pretty much just dressed up for the photo op, it's a skirt I really love and only wore it for my reception outfit on my wedding day, mind you, I was thinner when I first bought this skirt and now it won't zip up all the way. It was either getting the size small or no skirt, I chose to buy it, the pockets are an extra bonus. I'm hoping to add more skirts like this to my wardrobe, more grown up.

High waisted skirt from Rainbow, black top was a gift with a label from Merona, which is a Target brand and heels were also a gift, a very tall gift.

Necklace from Forever 21, the only piece of jewelry I put on for the outfit.
My manicure for the week, been finding some nice glue ons from the Dollar store.

Around my birthday last year, I decided to go ahead and walk into Sephora for my birthday gift, which was a mini size of Amazonian Clay 12 hour blush in shade paaarty and Tartiest Creamy Matte Lip Paint in shade birthday suit both from Tarte Cosmetics. They were actually really great products that I'm still using to this day, but it wasn't until December where I started the heavy shopping and when I say heavy, I mean I made it to VIB status, which is spending $350 a year, I spent that in a month. Husband buying my Chanel fragrance as my Christmas gift did help and shopping for my step kids as well.

A friend of mine who is also a Sephora fanatic, gifted me the mini size Better Than Sex mascara from Too Faced, which is amazing. Gives great volume and I use it everyday, even as a base mascara.
I also wanted to show my manicure, they were a newly discovered process called nexgen, which is a dip powder. They do no not damage the nail the way gel and acrylics do, pricier than both, but worth it. More Sephora posts to come.

My engagement ring finally arrived just three days before Thanksgiving and he actually got down on both his knees and professed his love. We are not traditional, I actually picked out my ring and we had already discussed we would get engaged well before we started looking for rings, but with him proposing, I knew I wanted that tradition. He had been married twice before, but never for love and this would be his first, I always say it's because I'm special and he appreciates it very much. I didn't have a manicure done when he proposed, so I had to quickly do one for my photo-ops, since working in a bakery, manicures don't last, I had stopped doing them.
For Thanksgiving I wore this new dress I had received as a gift from Forever 21, booties from Sears, freshwater pearls necklace from a site that no longer exists, pearl earrings made by me and watch from Target.

I didn't want your typical diamond engagement ring, since I love blue, I wanted one with a blue gemstone that also wouldn't break the bank, though he had told me I was worth it, I still didn't want so much money spent on it when there are more important things we could use the money for. This blue topaz ring with white sapphires is from the Zales website, manicure was with Sally Hansen polish and Opi glitter.
The lovely couple. At this point I had wanted to get married on a significant date, so the first date I had come up with was December 30th, which was the date we got back together the year before, but honestly that was not enough time to plan anything and it turned out to be a very busy season with both my employers, plus holiday parties, so I moved to May 2nd, when my parents got married. Worked out well. Will be a future post.

This was another Macy's work day outfit, I've been wearing many, but have not been able to take any pictures. My mother was here for a week last week and I was either working or busy doing things with her. I wanted to wear my new necklace and since it was turquoise, everything else was that color as well.

I wore Express pants, black ruffle top was a gift and sandals, which are not shown are from Rainbow.
Headband from Scünci, earrings were a gift, necklace was also a gift. As I've mentioned before, my friend gets me many things from garage sales.

Watch from Target, silver bracelet was bought in Mexico and bangle from Henri Bendel.
I had done my nails the day before, so it just happened to match with the jewelry, I used my new polish from Revlon Parfumerie in surf spray and fresh linen.

I was spending a week in Miami and it happened to be Christmas time. I hadn't seen my friends in over a year and we were planning on dressing up for the 24th and then do an ugly sweater party for the 25th. I decided to wear the dress I had bought for thanksgiving, but didn't wear because it became casual. I was planning on doing wine with green accessories and since I came down to Miami, I was able to do green heels as well. I didn't get many pictures because I didn't have enough time before when we all got ready and then my friend helped me out by taking some full body shots while our other friends stepped outside, but then she got a creepy shot with my friend's teenage brother who decided to photobomb, became the highlight the next morning, creepy prom picture as everyone kept putting it.

Wine colored Forever 21 lace dress, Avon necklace, 2 Henri Bendel green bracelets and Fioni green heels from Payless, which sadly broke from being in storage for so long and had to thrown out because they broke. Was only able to wear them twice and they were comfortable heels, which is hard to find, I need for find another pair like those.

My nails were also green, which I had done before I left NYC.

Everyone with their ugly sweaters on the 25th.
