Miami Beach Art Deco

I had just gotten off work at 1pm on Sunday and my roommate had asked if I wanted to go to Art Deco, it was the last day of the event, so I agreed. I quickly changed clothes and just left my jewelry on since it was already nice. I put on this short, flowy, blue dress with peep holes on the chest area, which was actually a mistake, since it cooled down that night and we were in the beach area, which made it even cooler. I was cold that night, but it was nice to be out with friends and actually having a social life and not just working as I usually am.

Dress was a gift, tag just says free people and booties from Sears.

Yes, I keep being photobomed by my roommate's dog, he loved being around me.

Earrings were a gift, necklace from Avon, gold bracelet from H&M, pearl bracelets from Miss A and watch from mini in the box.

Travel Outfits

It was my friend and mine's last day in Nicaragua and there was a lot to do, I had to get my hair done, my dad had class, my mom had a work meeting and we still had to finish packing after our night shower before the airport since it was a redeye flight. During the day I wore a non buttoned plaid shirt that I could take off while I was getting my hair done and also worked out well since I used it as an umbrella for my hair when we were walking around at night in the rain to print our boarding passes. Jeans from the Limited, black cami from Forever 21, plaid shirt from Rainbow as well as the sandals.

Earrings from mini in the box, necklace from Avon, ring from Henri Bendel, watch from mini in the box and bracelets from Miss A.

After 2 hours at the salon, which this was not the hair I asked for, not the color nor the hairstyle. I wanted to dye just my roots to even out my color and I wanted full waves and not curls that were only at the tip, but it was still nice. The curls didn't even last half a day and were fully straight by the time we were at the airport, my hair is so straight, it can't hold a curl.

My nighttime outfit was fully black as always, but sadly there was no time or lighting for full outfit pictures, just the jewelry since I finally wore these blue mini in the box earrings I bought in August. Ring from Beya, necklace was a gift, bracelets from Miss A and watch from mini in the box.

I wore my Sears booties and took this picture while waiting at the airport and starting the sleep deprivation since our flight left at 2:12am Nicaragua time.

New Shades

As many times, I arrive early to the mall I work at and I walk around before I have to start my shift. I headed into Sears and started to look around, I found the sunglasses section and I was in need of a fancier pair. When I found the right pair in the right size and shape, they just happened to have pink on the inside, which I wasn't happy about, but they were the best option and I had to start work in a few minutes, so I bought them.

Of course I had to start playing with them and taking selfies.

And including with my JCPenney hat as they are similar color. Necklace from Avon amd earrings were bought in Nicaragua.

Black and Green For Macy's

Saturday I had a 7am shift at Macy's since it was the day before Father's Day and people always shop last minute. At work there were flyers saying to wear green and black on Friday and Saturday, apparently I was one of the only three who listened. For Saturday I had already planned to wear my new top and just added green jewelry. I had to wake up at 4:15am, since I live far from work and I have to take two buses to get there, so I barely had time to take these pictures let alone full body ones.

Black peplum top from Rainbow, black pants from Express and sandals from Payless.

New green necklace and earrings set were a gift from my friends many garage sale findings, ring from an online wholesaler and both green bracelets from Henri Bendel.

Added a green headband as well to have more green in my outfit.

For Friday I wore a green cami from Forever 21 and a black cardigan from H&M. Necklace from Avon, earrings made by me with materials fr Micheals and bracelet from Henri Bendel.

Peekaboo Peplum

Friday night, my friends and I were going to go out and this would be my last going out freely before I would start my new job at Macy's, which training would be that coming Monday and Tuesday for 6 hours each. It would also be my first night out back in Miami, we went to the Coral Gables area, which was very packed. Since I had seen my friend the day before where I had left some of my stuff, I was able to wear this new peplum top another friend had given me, but did not fit in my luggage when I left.

I wore a peekaboo peplum top with skinny jeans I had also left behind and my black Payless booties.

I wore a coin like necklace from Avon, stainless steel earrings from Nicaragua, Henri Bendel ring and bangle and my Zetram Designs pearl bracelet.

Excuse the mess, I was staying that week at a friend's house and the room was full of my stuff, her stuff and her mom's.

Turns out my training was rescheduled for today and tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday since their computers were down. My trip that day was wasted and I had worn new ballet flats which are for comfort and made for walking, but they literally killed my ankles since I have to walk and take the bus. Too late to return them now since they are full of blood, it has definitely made walking and wearing shoes difficult. This time I came with sneakers and brought the flats with to change, I really hope I can take the pain.

Avon Lashes and Lips

I just realized I forgot to post this last week!! My last Avon order came Monday, I ordered a mascara and a nude colored lipstick with 24 kt gold in it. I started working on this post the day after I received the items, but I had no internet to post it. Mom's paycheck hadn't come in yet, so my dad couldn't go into the next town to pay for my phone internet and my friend just came this Monday at midnight and we've just stayed in watching movies, so I have not been out anywhere and still have not tried my new make up.

The 24kt gold label on the wrapper.

I could see the gold flecks within the lipstick and couldn't wait to finally try it.

I received these products on Monday of last week and didn't get the chance to try them on until in the next post, which is St. Patrick's Day.

Sexy Blue

This Saturday we all had a combined baby shower to go to in the capital, which is Managua and we would be going by car, so I took advantage to dress up and wear heels. This dress was mean t be worn with my black tights, but apparently I didn't bring them, they must've stayed in Miami, so I had to improvise and I wore leggings. Excuse the background, now my parents have buckets to fill up with water in my photo shoot area.

Wore the blue Petticoat Alley dress I wore as my upper east side costume for one Halloween, leggings, booties from Payless and bow belt from another dress.

For jewelry I wore the Swarovki and pearls bracelet from Burlington Coat Factory, one faux pearl necklace that was a gift, other necklace from Saks Fifth Avenue and earrings from Icing by Claire's.

Wore Avon eyeshadow and a new Wet n' Wild lipstick my friend gave me.

Avon Hair and Lips

I got some new Avon products, a hair cream for anti frizz in coconut and acai, another pop love lipstick this time in cherry and the lipliner is actually my mother's. The hair product and the lipstick smell very nice, especially the hair product, I could not stop smelling it.

Luckily I had to wash my hair the day after I got them, so I was able to use the coconut acai cream immediately. I added it to my wet hair and let it dry naturally, it did help with my frizz and made it smooth, but now my hair feels kind of greasy. I might've put too much or I just can't have product in my hair since they make it greasy.
