I had less than a year to plan my small wedding, I had decided on May 2nd, 2017, the day my parents had gotten married. I was never one of those girls who dreamed about her wedding or even gave it a single thought, I was the kind of girl who didn't believe in marriage or even love, but that all changed when I met my future husband, who was actually my first boyfriend at the age of 27. Now that I was engaged, I still knew the kind of style I wanted, I had searched online and loved a rustic wedding look and a vintage A-line dress. Some dresses I had fallen in love with online.
Some ideas into the rustic wedding look like a barn, wood, Mason jars, naked cake and lace.
I had really loved this look for that day, so I kept it to try and recreate it. I had thought of getting it professionally done, but I'm pretty good at makeup, so I left that task for me.
I was working at the orthopedic office then and a coworker had mentioned to me to try David's Bridal. I wanted something different for my dress, not your typical wedding dress and I thought that place would be filled with commercial dresses, but I thought I would just go in and try some to just get an idea and sense of what I wanted.
I had a day off on January 2nd and my mom was visiting, so I thought I would go with her that day. Unexpectedly, my fiancé was sent home as soon as he went to work, there was no work that day, so he wasn't needed and he tagged along as well. It was my first appointment with dresses, so I didn't think I would find a dress, which is why I let him come with us.
Little did I know, the one dress I had picked from their catalog to try on, which was the most similar to the look I wanted, would be the one. As soon as I saw myself in the cap sleeve A-line lace dress, I could not hold my tears, I knew it was the one. Strange because I'm not the kind to get emotional like that, but it happened to me. A mother with her daughter had to give me tissues and told me, if it makes you cry, it's the one and she was right.

It was an all black look again for work with some "ice" added around my neck, hence the title for this blog post. I wore black skinny jeans from Walmart, peplum top was a gift, sandals from Rainbow and backpack from Payless.

Necklace came attached to a short bought at Rainbow, earrings were a gift from Colombia, ring was bought from my wholesaler, white watch and bracelet from mini in the box.
After work, since I had to wait a bit for the next bus, I looked around Macy's women since I always go through that store to go to the bus. I looked through the clearance dresses and found these two I liked to try on. I got size small since I've lost a lot of weight lately, the pink one didn't quite zip up in the boobs area since it was not a stretch dress, it fit in all other areas.
Then I tried on the other one, which did fit and zip up all the way and that's why I took it home with me. It was about $10 something with taxes, great price for this cute and simple dress, I just need to find the right occasion to wear it, since I'm working all the time and always wearing work clothes. Although this could be worn for work with black tights and a black cardigan.

I was spending a week in Miami and it happened to be Christmas time. I hadn't seen my friends in over a year and we were planning on dressing up for the 24th and then do an ugly sweater party for the 25th. I decided to wear the dress I had bought for thanksgiving, but didn't wear because it became casual. I was planning on doing wine with green accessories and since I came down to Miami, I was able to do green heels as well. I didn't get many pictures because I didn't have enough time before when we all got ready and then my friend helped me out by taking some full body shots while our other friends stepped outside, but then she got a creepy shot with my friend's teenage brother who decided to photobomb, became the highlight the next morning, creepy prom picture as everyone kept putting it.

Wine colored Forever 21 lace dress, Avon necklace, 2 Henri Bendel green bracelets and Fioni green heels from Payless, which sadly broke from being in storage for so long and had to thrown out because they broke. Was only able to wear them twice and they were comfortable heels, which is hard to find, I need for find another pair like those.

My nails were also green, which I had done before I left NYC.

Everyone with their ugly sweaters on the 25th.
