My cousin's baby shower had finally come and it was the night before I would fly out to Nicaragua with my friend. I had stayed with her and her sister since all weekend since my other cousin had picked me up from work the day before at Macy's. I had just bought a new laptop and was trying to transfer everything from the mini laptop my friend was letting me borrow, so I wouldn't have to bring it, but there was no time and I was only able to transfer a few movies and download a few programs. I had to get dressed so fast and retouch my makeup, luckily I had already selected and separated the jewelry I would wear. When we got there we still had to set up and I was the photographer before the guests arrived to take pictures of the set up.

New dress from Macy's, faux fur cover from Burlington Coat Factory and booties from Sears.
New necklace and earrings from Forever 21, ring from Beya, black watch and white bracelet from mini in the box, gold chain bracelet from H&M and blue bracelet from Miss A.
I had made some cupcakes at Publix to bring for these weekend events, when my cousin saw them, she decided to keep them all for the shower. My manager had stepped out for her long break and that's when I decided I would make those cupcakes. There was only white buttercream, so I had to color it to a light blue then I looked around to see what I can use for decoration and picked these white chocolate, milk chocolate shapes and the striped chocolate sticks. Running around doing all this all alone there felt great, like this was my own bakery.....one day.

It was my last day working at Macy's and this was an outfit I'd been wanting to do for a while and wanted to leave for my last day. This was the outfit I was wearing when I got my Chanel lipstick and I mentioned in that post that this was the kind of outfit the Chanel employees would wear, all black with pearls. I was looking very Chanel and now I have my lipstick and mini mascara to look even more Chanel. My cousin would be picking me up after work for the weekend festivities, the one happening already when she picked me up was her dad's birthday, which was at a park, so I was definitely overdressed. Afterwards that same day, we would be doing the arts and crafts for the baby shower the next day on Sunday. My last day of work was the day I had to wake up at 5:30am after working until midnight the day before at Publix and not going to bed until 1am, thought I would be dead that day, but I was actually well rested.

Black dress from Target, which I only wore once last year for my first networking event in NYC and sandals from Rainbow.
I had really liked the pose on this picture, but hadn't noticed it came out blurry until much later and by then it was too late to retake it sadly.
I was taking this one before I started my shift, which was before the store opened and I taking it in my department of Guess, Diesel and Buffalo.
My toe was very injured since I had to carry my very overweight luggage on two buses and walk with it all the way to work, not easy.
Earrings were a gift, necklace from no more rack, which is now choxi, ring from Beya and pearl bracelets from Miss A.
The freshwater pearls necklace is actually a 13" long necklace made into a three row one.

I've had a Chanel lipstick for years now that I really loved and have been wanting to replace with a new one, since it was low. Now it was definitely extremely low and wanted to take advantage that I worked at Macy's to get it. It was my last day of work before I would have the two events on Saturday and Sunday and flying out to Nicaragua for 2 weeks on Monday. I went on my break to the woman's Macy's, since at this mall it's two separate locations and asked for the color that was the most similar.

I had seen online at my register before starting my shift and this was one of the colors I had thought was most similar, 414 Sari Doré. That day I was wearing a black dress with pearls, which is what the woman wear that work for Chanel, so it looked like I worked for them. A customer even asked me where the men's department was. They gave me some free goodies with my purchase, foundation and mascara.
I had seen so many fashion illustrations of this Chanel lipstick and I finally have my own.
My old Chanel lipstick with the new one, it's a discontinued shade and the bottle design was also no longer made that way.
I have yet to try any of my Chanel products, I will post when I do.

I had been looking for some sort of costume I could do while in NC. I had thought of doing "posh", which is a British term meaning upper-class or wealthy, I watch a lot of British shows and movies, so I've heard this word a lot. I had thought of wearing abother skirt, which was the pleated plaid one and I had gone to Rainbow after work to see what top I could wear with it to create my costume. I only saw two options, but one gave too much of a preppy schoolgirl look and the other was just a plain crew neck sweater top. That night I started playing dress up with what I had and luckily I found the perfect outfit without having to buy anything extra.

Wine colored cupcake skirt from Macy's, stripped button up shirt from the Limited bought at TJMaxx, blazer from Rainbow, booties from Sears and pearl headband from Beya.

I had forgotten to take a picture with my jewelry, so I took it at the end of the night after all the trick or treating. New earrings from Forever 21, ring from Beya, necklace from Forever 21 and the Swarovski crystals and freshwater pearls bracelet not visible is from Burlington Coat Factory.

It was just before we would all head out to the small neighborhood get together and the posh look needed to be completed with my sunglasses, which was hard to take since everyone was in front of me and making me laugh.

I had asked my cousin to bring one of my suitcases I had left in NY since she was coming down to Miami. Among the things in that suitcase was this pencil skirt, which for some reason I never found the last time I was in upstate NY to bring some of my things, but luckily here it was. This was my first pencil skirt and it was a very high waisted one that used to fit tight on me, but of course now it's kind of loose like everything else, but since my hips stay the same no matter how thin I get, it was doable. I paired it with my chevron printed top I had only worn once before and it worked out well.

Chevron top from Macy's worn to work for Macy's, pencil skirt was bought many years ago, cardigan from H&M and sandals from Rainbow.
Earrings from New York and Company, ring from Beya, watch from mini in the box, pearl bracelets from Miss A and stainless steel bracelet was a gift.

It was an all black look again for work with some "ice" added around my neck, hence the title for this blog post. I wore black skinny jeans from Walmart, peplum top was a gift, sandals from Rainbow and backpack from Payless.

Necklace came attached to a short bought at Rainbow, earrings were a gift from Colombia, ring was bought from my wholesaler, white watch and bracelet from mini in the box.
After work, since I had to wait a bit for the next bus, I looked around Macy's women since I always go through that store to go to the bus. I looked through the clearance dresses and found these two I liked to try on. I got size small since I've lost a lot of weight lately, the pink one didn't quite zip up in the boobs area since it was not a stretch dress, it fit in all other areas.
Then I tried on the other one, which did fit and zip up all the way and that's why I took it home with me. It was about $10 something with taxes, great price for this cute and simple dress, I just need to find the right occasion to wear it, since I'm working all the time and always wearing work clothes. Although this could be worn for work with black tights and a black cardigan.

I received many presents for my birthday this Monday and already started planning them for my work outfits, the top and the earrings were some of them. The top was an extra small, but looked bigger and definitely fit me and since it was a high collar and a print, no necklace was needed, just bold earrings to complete the look. I went with these earrings from the bunch, since it had pink to go with the top.

Macy's top for Macy's work day and pants from Express. Another associate actually commented that she liked my top as I was leaving and I let her know it was Macy's.

Earrings from Miss A, black and pink bracelet made by me, Zetram Designs, Henri Bendel bangle and black watch from mini in the box.
