It was the end of January last year, I already had my Valentine decorations up, so why not a pre-valentine outfit. I usually like to do black for valentine's and accessorize with red, which is what I did. I had decided to get my hair done that day, but I took the full outfit shots before going to the salon.
Black dress was a gift, black belt from Sears, Kenneth Cole Reaction handbag from Ross and sandals from Rainbow.
Necklace was a gift from a friend from a garage sale, earrings from Miss A, watch from Target and bracelets from Miss A.
I had a Groupon for two blow dries at Christie Pea Beauty Lounge and it was well worth it. I have naturally straight hair, so I like to have curls whenever I can and they did an amazing job and pretty quickly too. As always when I get something new, I take many pictures to show it off.

This casual Friday I decided to wear my black dress, which I hadn't worn in a long time, it was one I had bought during the time I was living in NYC. For a classier look, I paired it with pearls and my cardigan, for a pop of color was my red handbag. This was during the month of November of last year.

Black dress is Merona brand from Target, cardigan from H&M, booties from Sears and red handbag from Kenneth Cole Reaction from Ross. The belt came from a dress I bought at Marshall's.
I accidentally saved this picture with a bubbles filter on my phone, so I left it that way.

Long pearl necklace I put around my neck three times is from a site that no longer exists, which is sad because they had really good deals, earrings I made, pearl bracelets from Miss A, watch from Target, middle promise ring from Walmart and others from Ross, bracelet on other wrist from Burlington Coat Factory. At this point I was already engaged, but the ring hadn't arrived yet from Zales website.

It was my last day working at Macy's and this was an outfit I'd been wanting to do for a while and wanted to leave for my last day. This was the outfit I was wearing when I got my Chanel lipstick and I mentioned in that post that this was the kind of outfit the Chanel employees would wear, all black with pearls. I was looking very Chanel and now I have my lipstick and mini mascara to look even more Chanel. My cousin would be picking me up after work for the weekend festivities, the one happening already when she picked me up was her dad's birthday, which was at a park, so I was definitely overdressed. Afterwards that same day, we would be doing the arts and crafts for the baby shower the next day on Sunday. My last day of work was the day I had to wake up at 5:30am after working until midnight the day before at Publix and not going to bed until 1am, thought I would be dead that day, but I was actually well rested.

Black dress from Target, which I only wore once last year for my first networking event in NYC and sandals from Rainbow.
I had really liked the pose on this picture, but hadn't noticed it came out blurry until much later and by then it was too late to retake it sadly.
I was taking this one before I started my shift, which was before the store opened and I taking it in my department of Guess, Diesel and Buffalo.
My toe was very injured since I had to carry my very overweight luggage on two buses and walk with it all the way to work, not easy.
Earrings were a gift, necklace from no more rack, which is now choxi, ring from Beya and pearl bracelets from Miss A.
The freshwater pearls necklace is actually a 13" long necklace made into a three row one.

It was New Year's Eve and it's never complete if your not wearing sequins. Wore a strapless LBD that had sequins all over the bust area with striped black tights and booties. My grandparents, aunt and her husband came to New York to spend New Years with us, so it was a quiet dinner that later turned smaller since people started leaving way before midnight.

I was definitely overdressed since everyone else was wearing plain shirts and t-shirts, but I wanted to welcome the new year in style.

The black dress was given to me and has no label on it, so I don't know who it's from, black striped tights, booties from Payless, belt taken off the dress of the Georgia wedding, headband from Claire's, multi-gemstone necklace from No more rack.

Put on a long sleeve cardigan, but didn't like the look with this dress so I opted it out.

Not the exact look I wanted, but I couldn't finish it since I was heading into the city at that moment. Used my new teal nail polish from New York Color and added glitter.
