Again here I am trying to catch up with my posts, but so busy working and my mother was visiting this past week, which meant spending a lot of money. This was another make up haul from Sephora, they were separate buys to get more samples of course. I decided to actually buy this cobalt blue matte lipstick from Anastasia Beverly Hills as it was sitting in my shopping cart for a while and boy did this not disappoint. I also bought a matte pore primer from Benefit Cosmetics and the lock it concealer from Kat Von D as I had gotten a sample of this and loved it.

Received some samples with my lipstick order, IT Cosmetics cleanser and Dr. Jart Water Fuse, which I recently just finished.
The PORE fessional matte rescue primer from Benefit Cosmetics and Kat Von D Lock It Concealer in medium 19 cool.
I really did love the blue lips, it has now become my staple and my bitmoji on snapchat.

I'm posting still trying to catch up to my current outfits, but I as you know I stopped for a few months, since all I did was work. This look was for the beginning of 2018 and it started off with a cold front in Miami, which I was loving, since it was an all day one and I was able to brush off the dust from my winter clothes.
Skinny jeans Bongo from JCPenney, thermal shirt from Rainbow, poncho from Old Navy and boots from Sears.
Pearls was a wedding gift from my mother in law and headpiece from Miss A. I was wearing my new Huda Beauty obsessions palette in mauve, Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pomade in taupe and Tartiest quick dry matte lip stain from Tarte.

And as a new year, my husband and I got couples tattoos. I had been wanting one for a while now, just didn't know what I wanted, so when I finally found it, we did it and loved it. This is my second tattoo, my first was "Liebe dich selbst" which is love yourself on my wrist.
I've been really loving this new app called snow, a lot of pretty cool filters and I had to take one with my husband during this cold front.

Like I had said before in part one, I did a lot of Sephora shopping for the holidays as well as some presents, which I did not take pictures of. For part two I left the the first two online orders I did with the app, which is much better than buying at the store, since I received so many samples with each order. I bought another Huda Beauty obsessions palette, this time in mauve, another quick dry matte lip paint from Tarte in cheerleader and a sample set of Tarte lip paints, one quick dry matte in rosé and the other creamy matte in fomo.
Like I said, ordering online is way better with all the samples I received. Mini perfumes, argan oil, lip balm, makeup remover balm, which I love and will definitely get in full size once I run out, foundation, primer, concealer from Kat Von D, which I also loved and bought the full size and the great thing was I got them in these cute striped makeup bags.
This Chanel N5 perfume was not something I bought, but I did order it on behalf of my husband as my Christmas present. It was a fragrance I hadn't tried before, but when I received it, I loved it.
First I tried here the palette, the primer, the Fenty by Rihanna foundation, which I wasn't a fan of, liquid blush from Nars and the Tarte lip paint in cheerleader, very beautiful red. Necklace by the way is from Mirina Collections, which is now Chic Wishlist, for 70% off anything on the site use coupon code saveonwishlist.
I continued to use the makeup, picture on the left is the shade fomo, picture on the right is rosé.

It was December and my makeup and Sephora obsession was growing. I went for another trip to the store and bought myself a few goodies after a gift shopping trip there as well. I was sampling the rollerball perfumes and fell in love with this scent from Gucci called Bloom, for now I'll just stay with this, since just the rollerball is $34. I also bought the Pore fessional primer from Benefit, a matte red lipstick shade 714 from Urban Decay's Vice collection and a metalized green one shade junkie, the Huda Beauty obsessions palette in smokey, the quick dry matte lip stain from Tarte in the shade Bounce and the infamous brow pomade from Anastasia Beverly Hills in Taupe.
A friend had given me a Vice lipstick just a few weeks before, which was the reason I went and bought another in another shade.
This was my first Huda Beauty purchase and it did not disappoint, they are very pigmented colors and for awhile I was only using this palette.
I had heard this brow pomade was heaven, but had never had enough money to be able to buy makeup more expensive than a $5 lipstick at the drugstore. Now working two jobs that were paying well, I was finally able to try it. It took a few tries, but by the third time as they say was the charm, I was used to using brow pencils, so this was completely new territory for me. For $18 it's not too bad, since you get many uses out of it, to this day I'm only 1/4 into it and I use it everyday.

Around my birthday last year, I decided to go ahead and walk into Sephora for my birthday gift, which was a mini size of Amazonian Clay 12 hour blush in shade paaarty and Tartiest Creamy Matte Lip Paint in shade birthday suit both from Tarte Cosmetics. They were actually really great products that I'm still using to this day, but it wasn't until December where I started the heavy shopping and when I say heavy, I mean I made it to VIB status, which is spending $350 a year, I spent that in a month. Husband buying my Chanel fragrance as my Christmas gift did help and shopping for my step kids as well.

A friend of mine who is also a Sephora fanatic, gifted me the mini size Better Than Sex mascara from Too Faced, which is amazing. Gives great volume and I use it everyday, even as a base mascara.
I also wanted to show my manicure, they were a newly discovered process called nexgen, which is a dip powder. They do no not damage the nail the way gel and acrylics do, pricier than both, but worth it. More Sephora posts to come.

Since I am a Beauty Insider for Sephora and it was my birthday on August 10, they gave me these Nars sample lipsticks. A soft pink in a satin finish and a red in a matte finish, my first matte lipstick and boy did I fall in love. I had also gone to Pink by Victoria's Secret to claim my free panty. It was a day of freebies. I took advantage since these stores are at the mall I work at.

The soft satin pink.
The matte red.
Here I am wearing the satin pink.

And here I'm wearing the matte red, which lasted all day at work without much reapplying.

Thanks Sephora!

It was a few days before I was to leave to North Carolina and I needed a primer, since my samples were all gone. I wanted to get the travel size of the Benefit primer, since it was $10 and I was going to use it for travel, but there were no more and as I was headed empty handed, I noticed a section of primers and decided to have a look. I saw this primer from the Sephora brand and it was a nice size like the mineral veil primer I had a sample of. A 0.5 ounces for $15 seemed like a better opportunity than the 0.25 ounces of the Benefit primer.

It went on buttery smooth and I love that I only need a little bit for my whole face.
Here I am with the primer and my make up after a long day at work, I would say it's a keeper.

This Sunday I went to a beauty class at Sephora for flawless foundation, which is something experimental and new Sephora is trying with friends and family first. Since my roommate used to work there, she was invited and asked for a plus one since she knows I am a blogger. Here are the application steps.

1. Prep and Prime: Use PRO #47 or your fingers to massage on moisturizer. Allow to absorb for 30 seconds before applying pea sized amount of primer with the same tool. Allow the primer to absorb before moving on.

Pro Tips: Suggested by one of the associates and instructor, using your fingers is best as you can feel what spots you missed and if you properly applied. Be sure not to use too much primer. Too much will cause the foundation to ball up and roll instead of applying smoothly.

2. Apply Foundation: Start at the center of the face, apply small amounts of product to build sheer layers as you work your way out to the perimeter. For areas that need more coverage, use a stipple or patting motion to apply additional product in thin layers.

Pro Tips: Using a stippling motion in the areas desiring more coverage, ensures the brush is not removing product already applied. Brush #47 was also suggested for applying foundation, just make sure you hold it at the center of the brush and not towards the tip as it could add too much product to areas or give you a streaky effect that you don't want.

3. Conceal: Use PRO #45 or #57 to pat concealer on area of concern, working in sheer layers to build coverage. This application technique helps minimize texture.

Pro Tips: Warming concealer on the back of the hand can make the application more smooth. Use your makeup sponge to blend the concealer into your foundation since some of it will be on the sponge.

4. Set With Powder Or Mist: Dip PRO #50 into translucent setting powder, tap on handle to remove excess. Press and roll bristles across the face to set foundation. For those using powder foundations, a separate setting powder is not needed.

Pro Tips: Setting with powder is an example of makeup artists' go-to tricks: to extend wear, later a moist product with a dry product. It was also suggested for eyeshadows as well, just make sure to add the shadow to the brush first, then the mist. Fully dry your brush if adding more shadow as once your shadow gets wet, it can never be used again. For those using a liquid or cream and desire a bit more coverage, for this step, you can use a powder foundation instead of a translucent setting powder. Avoid sweeping or buffing the powder on as it can add texture to the skin.

This was my finished face after the class, I was in love. I especially loved the primer by Hourglass, which is why I got a sample of it. I was actually scheduled to work later that day, my first day at the Publix bakery and I was going to go in looking all glamed out. Actually a customer commented that I was beautiful, older female customer, because my makeup was on point.

This was my makeup after work that evening, still at 80%.
