I wanted to use the silver eyeshadow and recreate the look I did for New Year's Eve, but now since I had more experience and practice, it would turn out better and it did. To continue with the silver and glitter theme, I put on my silver glam earrings and statement necklace as well as my new silver bow belt.
Merona shirt from Target, high waisted fabric shorts were a gift, earrings from Miss A, belt, sandals and necklace from Rainbow.
Excuse the mess, I was in the process of very early spring cleaning and major organizing.

I used a few new products here since that look, but still using the Huda Beauty obsessions palette in smokey, primer, setting powder and highlighter from Miss A, foundation Revlon Colorstay in shade 320, Kat Von D Lock It concealer in medium 19 cool, brows are Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pomade in taupe, lashes were

It was new years eve and it took me three dresses to try on in my closet to finally find what I was going to wear. Both my husband and I worked this day at Publix, so it was a long and hard day, which we barely made into the night. I had just bought some goodies at Sephora and this would be the perfect night to try many of them.
Dress from Ross, belted bow from Rainbow, booties from Sears, earrings from Miss A and bracelet from Burlington Coat Factory.
My husband and I arriving at the in laws place.

i created this look with the Huda Beauty obsessions palette in smokey, Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pomade in taupe for the brows and Tarte Cosmetics tartiest lip paint in bounce.

My nexgen Christmas nails that lasted well into the new year.
It was late, lighting wasn't too great, but we still wanted to take a celebratory picture with one of the new years snapchat filters just before heading home to crash.

Around my birthday last year, I decided to go ahead and walk into Sephora for my birthday gift, which was a mini size of Amazonian Clay 12 hour blush in shade paaarty and Tartiest Creamy Matte Lip Paint in shade birthday suit both from Tarte Cosmetics. They were actually really great products that I'm still using to this day, but it wasn't until December where I started the heavy shopping and when I say heavy, I mean I made it to VIB status, which is spending $350 a year, I spent that in a month. Husband buying my Chanel fragrance as my Christmas gift did help and shopping for my step kids as well.

A friend of mine who is also a Sephora fanatic, gifted me the mini size Better Than Sex mascara from Too Faced, which is amazing. Gives great volume and I use it everyday, even as a base mascara.
I also wanted to show my manicure, they were a newly discovered process called nexgen, which is a dip powder. They do no not damage the nail the way gel and acrylics do, pricier than both, but worth it. More Sephora posts to come.

My engagement ring finally arrived just three days before Thanksgiving and he actually got down on both his knees and professed his love. We are not traditional, I actually picked out my ring and we had already discussed we would get engaged well before we started looking for rings, but with him proposing, I knew I wanted that tradition. He had been married twice before, but never for love and this would be his first, I always say it's because I'm special and he appreciates it very much. I didn't have a manicure done when he proposed, so I had to quickly do one for my photo-ops, since working in a bakery, manicures don't last, I had stopped doing them.
For Thanksgiving I wore this new dress I had received as a gift from Forever 21, booties from Sears, freshwater pearls necklace from a site that no longer exists, pearl earrings made by me and watch from Target.

I didn't want your typical diamond engagement ring, since I love blue, I wanted one with a blue gemstone that also wouldn't break the bank, though he had told me I was worth it, I still didn't want so much money spent on it when there are more important things we could use the money for. This blue topaz ring with white sapphires is from the Zales website, manicure was with Sally Hansen polish and Opi glitter.
The lovely couple. At this point I had wanted to get married on a significant date, so the first date I had come up with was December 30th, which was the date we got back together the year before, but honestly that was not enough time to plan anything and it turned out to be a very busy season with both my employers, plus holiday parties, so I moved to May 2nd, when my parents got married. Worked out well. Will be a future post.

I bought some new beauty products, most of them from a dollar store while I was in NC, since they had products not sold in Miami dollar stores. All, but the tri-color eyeshadow kit was from that dollar store, those were ordered online from Miss A. For the silver eyeshadow from Wet n' Wild, I saved it for New Year's, I used it as eyeshadow and body glitter as it is served as both. It was very stubborn glitter as I still had some the next day even after a shower and washing my face. I shall be making more purchases from this dollar store on future visits, it is in Wake Forest.

My New Year's eve look even though it was only for a few hours as I had to work until late and wake up really early to continue working.
I hadn't used this eyeshadow/eyeliner duo until today.
The eyeshadow is actually very similar to another eyeshadow I own that I wear very often, so it was a plus.
There were choices in purple and green, but I chose the orange one, so it would give a slight tint to my lips.

I had to work for New Year's eve and New Years day, so I wouldn't be having a celebration. I didn't have to go in until 2:30pm, so I dressed up for a bit with blue and some glitter. Even though I would be working, I still wanted to feel festive and celebrate the new year with my new star like earrings, new glitter eyeshadow and new Happy New Year necklaces.

Skinny jeans from Forever 21, top was a gift and blue sandals from Rainbow.
As I was taking outfit pictures, I had a little photobomber that came out in most of my pictures, couldn't crop him out of this one.
Earrings were part of a gift set, ring from Beya, new years necklaces from Walmart, Guess watch, blue and pearl bracelet from Miss A and white one from mini in the box.

I had dressed casually for Christmas day, which was the previous post and went all out for my nighttime Christmas look because more family members were flying up that night. I had thought to wear a red and black midi skirt I have with a black top, it was even already in my carry on, but since I went to work to drop off a present, I thought I'd quickly check Rainbow. I had already seen this stripped skirt, which also came in black and white stripes, but I liked the white and gold for Christmas. There were only 2 left and the smallest size was a large, as I kept looking around the store, I found a small hanging on another spot, so I went with that one. I had thought also to wear my red lace crop top with it, but with all the rush, I forgot to pack it. I received two 3/4 sleeve tops as my present, which we opened on Christmas eve and they worked out perfectly.

Stripped cupcake skirt from Rainbow, new top from Nine West, faux fur coat from Burlington Coat Factory and booties from Payless.
Added some loose white glitter to my eyelids for a more festive look, more eyeliner and winged and matte red lipstick from e.l.f.
I had made my first purchase from Miss A and ordered many jewelry pieces which included these very Sparkly red earrings. Necklace came attached to a shirt from Rainbow, ring from Charming Charlie and bracelets from Miss A and mini in the box.
I was really loving the mostly white look with pops of red, so it was for the best that I left my red top.
