We had just left the hotel at Gran Pacifica and on our way out I noticed a sign that read of a place called Los Cardones ecolodge that was only 2 kilometers away, we decided to check it out. We parked and took a stroll around the place, it seemed like a nice place with so many trees and the beach right there. It's a place for people who are into yoga, nature, getting away since there is no wifi, vegans, amongst other dietary restrictions since the restaurant right there offers vegan, gluten free and vegetarian options. There were a few guests while we were there, some doing yoga and others relaxing on hammocks. We stayed at the outdoor restaurant having a few beers and afterwards we took a look at the section of things they had for sale, which had many tshirt options. My friend and I picked these because they looked cute and they had rastafari colors.

New tank from Los Cardones ecolodge, skinny jeans from JCPenney and sandals from Rainbow.
Earrings from Forever 21, ring from Henri Bendel, red bracelet from Miss A, gold chain bracelet from H&M, watch from mini in the box and pearl headband from Beya.
It seems like a place that has many iguanas amongst other species since they have many areas where they have turtle eggs to then release into the ocean when they all hatch. I was able to take a picture of an iguana while we were looking at the beach.

My mom had told me weeks ago, even before we had thought of coming here, that she had won a trip to a place called Gran Pacifica. She had given me the website to check out, but didn't do so until after a few calls from her and it did look like a nice place. I hadn't fully looked at the site until the day before we were going on the trip and it had some nice amenities like air conditioning, wifi, washer/dryer, full kitchen, English tv and private beach. We finally got there and the place was amazing, the website had said North American style and they were right. We had brought some nice clothes to wear for the dinner we would have at the restaurant I had seen on their website. I was taking pictures of my outfit and my mother wanted pictures as well, so I took some with her.

My mother wore all white and she wore my necklace from JCPenney.
Peplum top from Rainbow, leggings from Charlotte Russe and booties from Sears.
I had brought my contacts to wear for the special dinner.
Earrings from Miss A and my first time wearing them, necklace/headband from Beya as well as the ring, Guess watch and bracelets from Miss A and mini in the box.
I ordered the fried shrimp dish, which came with a salad, veggies and potato wedges, the shrimp came with mashed potatoes and tartar sauce.
I was in the pool when I took this picture of the restaurant, Sea Salt, since I couldn't take it at night.
We had ordered some drinks before the dinner while poolside, piña colada, mojito, whiskey and a michelada.
The Condos we stayed at.
The view of the beach we had, which we couldn't swim in because of all the rocks and the strong tides, it's only for surfers. My mom still has another voucher to come back and they were taking about maybe going next month towards the end, if that is the case....I will definitely come back.

It was Sunday and my mother had planned a day trip to San Juan del Sur, which we had been excited for all week. Surfers out there may have heard of this place as it is popular with them, for everyone else that have not heard of this place, it is a beach area popular with tourists with many bars and restaurants. We had gone twice before, but this was the first time we had seen so many tourists here, which was fun to watch, since we like to people watch. We had already created nicknames for people like one guy was bare footed ginger and a blonde couple were the Swedes.

New top from Rainbow, which was given to me for my birthday back in August and I finally found the occasion to wear it, shorts were a gift, sunglasses from Sears and sandals also from Rainbow.
I wore simple jewelry and not too much since we were going to the beach. Necklace was a gift, earrings from Miss A and watch from mini in the box.
We had the bucket of beers for us four at a restaurant my friend and I had been to on our last trip there with my cousin and her husband. We also enjoyed some wifi time there while eating, drinking, talking and people watching.

Our first "nice" outing in Nicaragua where we could actually dress nicer was this Saturday in Managua, since my mother had a meeting there and we would all tag along and take advantage of the trip. Her meeting was at Casa del Café, which is a nice café we would go to when we came here, but this was a new location we hadn't been to before. We had our lunch there and enjoyed some wifi time, mom's meeting was not as long as I thought at all, so we were free to do anything early on. We went to Sinsa for a bit, which is a home improvement store over here then we headed to Salvador Allende, where we had gone before on the boat to have some drinks, only this time we did the actual boat tour. That boat was very rocky, so my dad was dizzy, but overall it was a good trip.

Top is from Rainbow, wine colored skinny pants from Delia's and booties from Sears.
New necklace from H&M, earrings from Forever 21, ring from Beya, earrings from Miss A, Guess watch and gold chain bracelet from H&M.
We had some drinks and a little bit of food, since we were still full from Casa del Café and it was a nice boat ride.
These are all the new lite trees they are putting up around Managua, before it was only some yellow ones, but now they have other colors. They are pretty, but they cut down so many trees just to put up these fake ones and then after a while they won't be lite anymore because they won't be able to afford the electricity.

My friend and I picked Friday to go to the capital and see Fast and Furious 7, the only mall we could see it in was Galerias, which is the same mall we saw Insurgent because the other mall dubbes them in Spanish and we wanted to do the VIP experience. I only did it once years ago with Live Free or Die Hard just before I flew back to Miami, it's recliner seats, waiters with menus that offer all kinds of food from burgers to pizza to sushi and there are also drinks, I ordered a half bottle of white wine, which is actually a medium sized bottle, definitely overpriced since I can get the normal sized bottle for $3 at Navarro (Miami pharmacy) in red and this one cost $10. The movie was to start at 1:10pm and we wanted to go early so we could walk around the mall and stores before the 2+ hours movie. We reached the mall at 10:40am and we were asked multiple times where we were going by security guards because the mall was closed, it was saint week last week and that day was food Friday, movie just had to come for this impossible week.
I didn't have time to take full outfit shots and I just took what I could at the mall. I wore jeans from Ross, ruffle top was a gift from that same friend and white sandals are from my mother.
My arm candy was kept very simple with just my Guess watch and the pearl bracelet I made, Zetram Designs. Hopefully one day I can expand my watch collection, since I only have two.
I wore gold stainless steel earrings with pearls, Saks Fifth Avenue necklace and Revlon lipstick in the shade Pink in the Afternoon.
Here we were crossing the street to get to the mall, on the far left in the picture.
The interior of the ghost mall. I took a picture of my feet extended on the recliner in the VIP room, but on my iPod, so I will put it up once I get WiFi.
Just before leaving the mall, we had a cookie shake, which are so good.

This past Saturday was my aunt's 70th birthday and a lot of the family was getting together including her son who lives in Miami with his wife and kids all present. He came over and asked if I wanted to stay over, I said yes and had to pack in 5 minutes. Luckily I already knew what I was going to wear, so it was pretty simple. I quickly packed some jewelry, had to find something in the moment, the only thing I knew I was wearing was the pearls.

Wore a wine colored peplum top from Love Coulture, leggings and white sandals that were my mothers, but fit small on her.

36" pearl necklace from no more rack, spiral earrings from New York and Company and also wore some bracelets, all pearls, some gifted from my mother and my own designs, Zetram Designs.

Some highlights from the event, thought I'd share the decor, all brought by my cousin's wife from places like Oriental Trading and the Dollar Store.

The massive cake with added little banners made by my cousin's wife and inspired by Pinterest.

There was going to be a keg filled with local artisan beer only found in the town of Diriamba or nice restaurants, but the fridge broke down and it's the company's only machine. So they had to bring the same beer in no label bottles, which is seen in the other picture below, it was a very dark beer, but not exactly my cup of tea. To me it's the kind of beer to try once and be done.

This was a picture taken with my cousins before leaving. There were more pictures taken that day, but by a photographer, so I don't have the copies.
