I had my day off in the middle of the week on Wednesday and I just wanted to go to the dollar store to get a new razor since mine mysteriously went missing. There were so many cool things there and many Christmas things, so I got some presents and a little bit of decor for the new furniture in the room. Since there is a Ross in that same plaza, I thought I'd check it out before I go, I only went to look at things not buy and I ended up spending $85. I went out to buy just a razor for $1 and ended up spending just over $100, but it was gift shopping and I'm very happy with my new stuff. I bought a ticket for NC for Dec. 23 to the 28th, so I can spend my Christmas there and potentially planning a NY trip for next month.

I had seen these Tommy Hilfiger sweater tops and really liked them, I had seen the pink one first and really liked the soft pink color, which is the only shade of pink I like. Then I noticed the teal one and figured, why not get both.
Just trying it on, since I had to get a medium because there were no size small, but it was fine.
And now for the best purchase ever! I was looking through the size small section of one of the racks in the winter section to see of there was anything for my cold weather trips, once I laid my eyes on this cape, I fell in love and even more so with the price!
It's a Marchesa Voyage black cape with embroidered parrots, original price $595 for shopstyle, Ross price $25! Couldn't pass that up.
Got the size 6 as it was the smallest, no size 4 available, but it still worked.
I had looked online for this cape after I bought it to see if the price was accurate and it was. I don't know why Ross was selling it for such a low price because even on eBay I saw one for $150, nevertheless, I'm happy with it.

Thought I would do a throwback Thursday of some of my past outfits here. All from last fall/winter season except for one from last spring. Wore this one for my first Thanksgiving in NY.

Wore my brand new Calvin Klein dress for my first interview in NY, which was at Henri Bendel.

An outfit for a regular winter day.

My first Christmas in NY.

My first New Years in NY.

Wore my Victoria's Secret wool blend sweater and my JustFab boots for brunch at The Plaza.

A cardigan for just another day in the city.

Worn for an interview while a polar vortex came earlier than expected.

Marshall's peplum dress for a spring wedding in Georgia.

I will post the link backs to each post soon.

Another summer like winter day at 50 degrees and took advantage to wear a top my friend had given me right before she left New York to go back home.

Black top from French Laundry, white sweater from Old Navy, skinny jeans from Daily Jeans NY and Call it Spring boots from JcPenney.

It was Sunday, the day I was going into the city to have brunch and walk around, so I needed some nice clothes and warm enough. I left around 12:25 pm and by the time I got there it was too late for brunch at The Palm Court in The Plaza hotel, so I went to The Plaza food hall and had tea with cheesecake.

Wearing a mustard colored coat from Priorities, skinny jeans, JustFab boots and Anne Klein satchel from Marshall's.

Some pictures came out blurry and would not come out clear no matter how many times I took them.

An ivory wool blend sweater from Victoria's Secret and a turquoise thermal from Aeropostale underneath, my favorite color. I was layered so well, I got hot at times.

Created a two color manicure with striped blue nails and glitter tipped white nails.

First checked out The Shops at Columbus Circle, which is the stop I got off on. View towards Central Park South.

One of the hallways at The Plaza.

Of course I couldn't be at The Plaza and not have a mimosa, since I missed brunch I was still in the mood for my mimosa and ordered one.

Walked over to Bergdorf Goodman since it was basically right next door from The Plaza. My first time there and found out that store was huge, seven floors.

Then walked over to Henri Bendel since the last time I was there was for an interview and didn't really look around.

Made my first purchase in store since the first was online for cyber Monday. They were having a 50% winter sale and got a pretty compact.

It was Saturday and I had the apartment all to myself all weekend. I had planned to go into the city in the morning and spend the day there, but my plans were deterred when it started lightly snowing and then became big flakes. It stopped when it was too late for me to go, so they were postponed for the next day.
I wasn't able to post this on Monday like I had planned since I had to run errands that day or Tuesday since I had an interview in the city early that morning and it was my cousin's kid's birthday so I was busy all day, not to mention there was a snowstorm since early morning.

Wore my other Express sweater, but in red, skinny jeans and my Call it Spring boots from JcPenney.

A black Betsey Johnson puff coat and New York crossbody bag given to me by my brother from one of his trips to the city.

The boot that were left behind when I was already almost at West Palm, but my cousin's husband decided to turn back so I could get them. They have definitely been useful up here.

I stayed in watching things on Netflix and wearing my new polar bear hat I just picked up from the post office that day, which was my Christmas present from my friend she ordered online.
