Interview in a Polar Vortex

Monday afternoon I got a call to set up an interview in the city with New York Life, which is an insurance company. My appointment was set up for the next day Tuesday at 11am, but was rescheduled for 9am since there was a snowstorm predicted to come at noon. My feet were still hurting from the walk on Sunday and now I had to go back to the city.

It was going to a cold one so I needed to layer. Wore tights, leggings and Express pants, a cami, long sleeve thermal from Aeropostale, pink professional button down shirt from TJMaxx, a vest, a cardigan from H&M and a blazer from MadRag.

This time I wore more comfortable shoes to walk in, but so wrong for all the snow on the trip back. Ballet flats by American Eagle at Palyess.

The interview location was right by Grand Central so I had to take the metro north straight down.

Well, everyone got a surprise including myself cause the snow actually started before 9am, it was already snowing when I exited Grand Central to walk to the interview location.

That day was my cousin's kid's birthday, so we all walked out in the snowstorm to have pizza at a place nearby. The walk back was more brutle because the snow was worse, but we all embraced it, polar bear hat and all!
